Gruene

One day we drove to Gruene from San Antonio.

Gruene has the oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas.  It is the white building in this picture.  There was a band playing Sunday afternoon so we stopped by to check it out.  It was also Gruene's monthly market so it was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon.

We went to The Gristmill to eat lunch.  It is exactly what it sounds like--the old town mill turned into a restaurant (and it is really cool).

The inside of Gruene Hall is pretty much how you would imagine an old dance hall.  There was a big outdoor area that the boys ran around in for awhile.

They did finally come inside to dance for a minute.
