Three months old and other recent pictures

It is hard to believe that Cadel is already three months old.  He is such a sweet baby and definitely the best sleeper we have had.  He is starting to only wake up once during the night and sometimes even sleeps through the night (it took months and months for the other two).  He is still a great napper during the day as well.
Cadel is so happy and smiles all the time.  The only time he really gets upset is when he is hungry.
Gus and Cormac are interested in Cadel in short bursts, but this is increasing as Cadel becomes more aware and active.
They both like to hold Cadel (for about a minute and then they are off to play something else).

When these two are cooperating I know they are up to no good.  They are starting to figure out they are more effective as a team so I can only imagine how much trouble they will be causing in a few years...
What is it with boys and gabarge trucks?  We were outside and they stopped what they were doing to watch the garbage truck empty the garbage cans.
I can imagine many things more mesmerizing than the garbage truck, but not these boys.

Snowy Afternoon

It snowed ever so briefly here on Monday afternoon. Gus was so excited and wanted to play in the snow so badly.  It wasn't really the playing kind of snow since it had rained all day and everything was just mushy.  He did go out on the back patio and play with the snow that had collected there.

The next day was sunny and about 55 degrees outside so it was back to regular playing.

Merry New Year!

We went to Wintergreen, VA for New Year's.  It was a wonderful part of my Christmas present--we had an awesome two-bedroom condo with a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains for three nights and I was treated to a spa day on New Year's Day.  It was an awesome present and we had a great time.  Wintergreen is a ski resort about 45 minutes southwest of Charlottesville.  It hasn't snowed much yet but they make their own snow so there was snow on the slopes for the boys to play in.  Unfortunately the giant children's snow playground wasn't open yet because of the lack of snow, but we still had plenty of fun.

Playing in the snow--it didn't matter to them that it was man-made.

View of the slopes from our condo one evening.
Playing around in the condo.  The boys love staying in "hotels".   We could really just go to the Holiday Inn and they would think it was the most awesome vacation ever.

We tried out a couple of breweries that are located a short drive from Wintergreen.  This is outside the Wild Wolf Brewery.  We also visited the Devil's Backbone Brewery.  Both had great beer and the Devil's Backbone had awesome food (it was also remarkably kid-friendly so that was  huge bonus).

In the background you will see the building where they have the restaurant for the Wild Wolf Brewery--it is actually the old Nelson County school house dating from the early 20th century.

A great family trip!

Growth updates

Cormac and Cadel had Well Baby/Child check-ups the week before Christmas.  Both did wonderfully and the pediatrician said they look fantastic.  Cormac's two-year stats are weight 30.4 pounds (75%) and height 36.25 inches (90%).  Cadel's two-month stats are weight 12.7 pounds (75%) and height 23.25 inches (75%).
Some picutres of Cadel--he is such a happy and mellow guy, always smiling and he loves to "talk".
