Water baby

Gus and Cormac have a blast in their pool but today I put Cadel in there too. He had a blast. He didn't want to get out.

He was unimpressed in the beginning.

Who knew a little watering can from Target could provide so much entertainment? Cormac watered and watered the dirt forever. After that he watered his cars.

Fun in the sun

A trip to the zoo and other recent happenings

I took a break from unpacking boxes this past week to take the boys to the zoo. (Who am I kidding, I was almost done so it was more of a celebratory break!). Gus loved the zoo in SC and is so happy that we have one so close. Cormac is now just as excited about visiting the zoo.

They were a little wary of the cave but once they went through once they thought it was so cool.

Cadel was pretty unimpressed with the zoo. In fact, he was completely freaked out by some free-roaming chickens in the My Own Backyard exhibit.

Gus was leading Cormac on a fossil excavation in the backyard. They didn't find any fossils but were excited to find buried rocks and a roly-poly or two.

"Hi Max." Cadel loves all of the windows in our new house that go to the floor. He has a great view of the backyard and the blinds are in between the glass so I don't have to worry about it.

Uses for an inflatable kiddie pool

We have been hanging out in our house waiting for our household goods to be delivered (tomorrow!).  So we have found many different uses for an inflatable pool. 

It is great for boys to run around in. It is also good for car races.

It is useful as a wrestling ring.

It is great for corraling babies.

It is the perfect space for crawling and not getting into things.

And, of course, it is the most fun when filled with water.

On the road

We made it to Colorado Springs after three days and almost 1600 miles.  We were packed in like sardines.  The boys were troopers during the trip (but they always like staying in hotels so that was a bonus). 

The last leg of the trip through west Kansas and into east Colorado was a little like driving through no man's land.
