A lazy Sunday

With Pat is in the states right now at a conference and then taking a detour to look for houses in Columbia, the boys and I are taking it easy. Last night I enlisted Gus' help in making pizza (basically getting the Pilsbury pizza dough, rolling it out, and adding sauce and cheese). He thought that was so much fun that he sat in front of the oven and watched it bake for the entire 15 minutes. So this morning he got out a couple of bowls, spoons and chopsticks (not sure why those) and was "cooking" all manner of things.

He took his bowl into the kitchen to mix it up some more.

Then put it on the stove to cook.

Gus also had fun playing in his fort.

Mr. Easygoing, Cormac just took it easy.

Here he is watching Gus make noise.

Taking a break together on the floor.
Gus has also recently decided that Pat's stubble when he doesn't shave is grass. Not only is it grass, but it is dirty grass. He is such a funny little person. Cormac remains a very sweet and cuddly baby.

Big brother, little brother

We have the "Little Brother" onesie (thanks Grandma T!) and the "Big Brother" shirt (thanks Grandma!), so I figured I would get them dressed in those and take pictures. Good idea, but with one who can't sit still and another that sleeps often it was pretty funny. Here are some of the results.

This one kind of looks like Cormac is punching Gus in the face.

Sleepy guy didn't last long...

It's been awhile...

I have been pretty lax about taking and posting pictures here (probably much to the chagrin of the grandparents--I apologize!). So here are some pictures from the past week or so. Cormac is growing and becoming a little more aware of his surroundings. He still sleeps quite a bit, but is much more bright-eyed when he is awake. Gus is doing well also. Today he asked me to turn on some music or mooks as he calls it. He does this a lot because he likes to dance, which really means jump around the living room. I guess he has a better ear for tone than I do because I was singing along and he came up to me and told me "no singing mom"--pretty sad when your two-year-old knows you can't sing.

Gus loves to show Cormac all of his different cars.

The boys helping out with dinner one night in the kitchen.

I was glad I actually caught the last grin of a big smile. Cormac is smiling all the time now, but it is really hard to catch on camera.
