Way to go Gus!

Last Friday the kids and I went up to Gus' elementary school for the SOAR assembly (SOAR is the acronym for good behavior, attitude, etc. at his school).  Gus was one of four kids in his class to be awarded a golden SOAR ticket at the assembly.  His teacher nominated him and I even got a call from the principle telling me that he was going to receive one.  His principle told me he was nominated because he sets a positive example for his classmates, does his best in his work and is kind to others.  We are so proud of him!

My pictures didn't turn out well but here he is getting the golden ticket from the principle.
Waving to us in the audience.

4 Months

Maggie is four months old now.  She just had her check-up and immunizations (she was not happy about those).  She now weighs 15 lbs. 8 oz. (90%) and is 26.5 inches long (97%).  She is a happy girl and just rolled onto her belly for the first time today.

Army vs.Air Force and other weekend events

We had Pat's godparents (God-Scott and God-Sue is how we refer to them) in town this past weekend for the Army vs. Air Force football game.  It was great to have company and the boys had a great time with God-Scott and God-Sue.
Pat got a tailgate spot at the Air Force Academy. He took the Airstream up super early since it was an early game (10 a.m.).
Cadel, Maggie and I stayed behind while everyone else went to the game (I knew Cadel couldn't sit still for that long and it was a little too chilly outside for Maggie to go to the game).  Cadel had a great time with the trailer all to himself.

Sporting their new sweatshirts from God-Scott and God-Sue.
Sunday we took God-Scott and God-Sue through Garden of the Gods and we stopped at this scenic overlook for some pictures.  I think we are going to take everyone that comes to visit here for pictures from now on.

Thanks for the great visit God-Scott and God-Sue!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year.  I waited until the last minute with the boys to pick out costumes this year because it kept changing.  We went from ghost to robot to dinosaur to ghost to fireman and so many in between.  So Gus ended up as Spiderman.  Cormac ended up as Jango Fett from Star Wars.  I am fairly certain he has no idea who that is.  He had settled on Superman (which I thought was perfect since his Superman t-shirt is one of his favorites) but then he saw that Gus had a costume with a mask so Jango Fett it was.  Cadel was Dusty Crophopper from Planes.  I didn't dress Maggie up in a costume but she did have a little skeleton outfit she wore.

I took Gus, Cormac and Cadel trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and they had a blast!  They love getting candy and they were awesome at saying "trick-or-treat" and "thank you".  Even Cadel did a great job, in fact, he would push his way in front of his brothers to go first.
