Springtime

Here are a bunch of pictures I have taken over the past couple of weeks.
We went to a birthday party (one of Cormac's best friends but he is also friends with all the Bryan kids).  There was Fun Dip and they loved it!
On Mother's Day I woke up to find this surprise in the kitchen.  Gus and Cormac woke up at 5 a.m. to hang it up to surprise me.
Maggie wants so badly to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. She is right on the cusp of being ready but hasn't quite gotten it down yet (although Cadel has her convinced she can).
Cadel has spent a lot of time "showing" Maggie how to ride that bike.
The end of the season for Gus' team, the Scorpions.

German American Volksfest

The German American Volksfest is held every spring on post.  We went again this year (last year it was a big hit) and the kids LOVED it.  We went to the opening ceremony and then went back another day.  The kids had a blast on the rides and seeing all of their friends.

Celebrate America!

A couple of weeks ago the elementary school held the annual Kindergarten through 2nd grade musical program.  This year's theme was "Celebrate America!"  with patriotic songs and folk songs.  Cormac was very excite about it this year and walked around at home singing "Oh! Susanna" for weeks.  He did a wonderful job!

Gus' Poetry Recital

The day after Mother's Day Gus' class held a poetry recital and tea party for the parents. It was really sweet. Gus wasn't feeling very well that day (he was coming down with the spring cold that everyone in this area has had).  But he made it through and did a great job!

More Baseball

Baseball season has been chugging along well.  Gus and Cormac have their final practices/games this week.  I think all four of the kids had a good time with it this spring.

Maggie and Cadel had their final practices last week. Getting the medals is always fun for them. Cadel even wore his to school the next day.

Bamberg Weltkulturerbelauf

Last Sunday Pat ran in the Bamberg Weltkulturerbelauf.  It is only held every other year.  There is a 4 km, 10 km and half marathon.  It sells out pretty quickly since it is only every two years.  Our friends in Bamberg, Thomas and Ulli, were nice enough to find a bib for Pat in the 10 km.  It is a good run and in a city we love.  Pat had a really good time running by all the stuff we know so well.  It was a (rare) nice and sunny day so the rest of us had a good time hanging out with Thomas and Ulli waiting for Pat.  The grown-ups enjoyed a rauchbier and the kids had some ice cream.  After the race Thomas and Ulli took us to a great biergarten outside of Bamberg.  It was a really good Sunday!

Being a goofball.
And again.
Cadel loves these old cranes on the river.
