Bamberg Zaubert

Last weekend was the Bamberg Zaubert (Bamberg does magic). It is an annual fest dedicated to magic (10th year this year). It was right on our street so we could watch from our windows. Right outside the door to our building was a beer stand. Pat was thrilled. (See photo below where he is enjoying one with Max)

The fest included all different types of street performers from jugglers and magicians to animal balloon "artists". Of course, there were also plenty of food booths, beer stands and live musical acts.

Gus had a great time, as you can tell. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the performances while drinking good beer and eating German fair food (brats, french fries, pretzels, crepes, etc.). The first night, Friday, we watched a juggler do his act to the Rocky soundtrack. That was rather interesting, especially since he kept dropping the balls he was juggling. Later that night we watched a juggling duo from our windows and the grand finale involved juggling fire--great to watch and we didn't have to fight the crowd outside.
