Six month stats
Cadel had his six-month check-up today. He now weighs 18 lbs. 7 oz (50-75%) and is 27.6 inches long (85%). His pediatrician said he looks fantastic. Last week his first two teeth came in--the two bottom teeth. He is also on the verge of crawling. He gets up on his knees and has probably gone forward a little bit but will have it really figured out in no time. He does still enjoy rolling around to get where he wants to go. It is amazing how fast he can roll across the room if left alone.

Spring Soccer
Spring soccer is well underway. Gus and Cormac have been playing since March but between rain cancellations and forgetfulness I haven't taken pictures until now. Gus is on the same team and Cormac is now playing on a team with other 2 year-olds.
Cormac's team (I use that term very loosely) just runs around and plays different games. It is fantastic because sometimes he is interested and sometimes not so much. I think he really just goes to see what snack he will get at the end of practice.
Taking in all of the action.
Gus' dribbling and ball-handling skills have really improved. His team does have a scrimmage with another team on Saturdays. It is non-competitive which is good (although Gus did score a goal today!). They all just have fun running around.
Snack time after practice is the best.

Half a year
Cadel is six months old today! Time flies and I can't believe how big he is.
He isn't quite crawling yet (backwards doesn't count), but he is so close. He has figured out that he can get pretty much anywhere he wants by rolling. So he just rolls all over the living room floor. I can put him down on a blanket in one spot and a few minutes later he will be on the other side of the room.
He can sit up on his own for about a minute. He loves checking out different toys. He also loves it when his brothers stop their busy days to play with him.
He is the sweetest baby and he is happy all of the time. Next week is his six-month check-up so I will post his stats after his appointment.

Rumpus in Bumpass
Pat's triathlon season started last weekend with the Rumpus in Bumpass. It was at Lake Anna here in Virginia (about an hour from where we live). The triathlon didn't start until mid-morning so we all went along to cheer Pat on and just have a good time outside in the great weather. We went to watch Pat on the bike portion but we missed him. He was already starting the run and we saw his back as he started so, unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of Pat. But the boys had a fantastic time playing.
We have a great set-up for this year.
Playing some cornhole.
"Fishing" off of the back of Pat's truck.
It wouldn't be a trip without playing in the dirt. They even brought a couple of rocks home as souvenirs.

The wide world of food
Cadel has officially entered the world of food. He had his first taste of cereal last week. I waited a bit longer with him than I did my other boys (the trip over spring break was one excuse, but I think it also just signifies how big he is getting and, perhaps, I don't want him to grow up too fast). I think the waiting a bit longer paid off with him--he really seemed to enjoy it, the flavor and new texture. Now it is on to many more new flavors!
