Indoor fun

We are in the process of selling our car so Gus' car seat is now in our apartment. Somehow a four-door just isn't enough room for toddler, dog and all the stuff that comes with, so we are without a vehicle at the moment. Ah, the days before kids! Luckily, we live in a city with great public transpo so we can figure out exactly what we want. In the meantime, Gus is using his car seat as a La-Z-Boy.

He absolutely loves his wagon that he received from his Mimi and Opa for Christmas. The weather has not been nice enough yet to take it for a spin outside so he has been enjoying rides around the apartment.

He enjoyed watching the inauguration of President Obama from the wagon.

Playing peek-a-boo in the wagon.

Week in Garmisch

Pat had a Criminal Law CLE in Garmisch this past week, so we loaded up the entire BFC and went for the week. Garmisch is in southern Germany, in the German Alps. We rented a holiday apartment that had a great backyard so Max was happy. While in Garmisch we went to a hockey game, did lots of walking and playing in the snow, and had fun with some of the people that Pat works with (we even went to a Mexican restaurant and had margaritas, in Germany...weird). Gus also loved the little apartment--he figured out right away how to climb in and out of all of the wardrobes and dressers (at least the ones he was able to fit inside). No skiing for Gus yet, but I think he is well on his way to becoming hockey player--he loved the game.

Helper Gus

Gus loves to "help" unload the dishes from the dishwasher (usually just means he finds something interesting like the laddle and then tries to climb on in). I am really trying to discourage this since we don't want to pay for the dishwasher, but sometimes it is just too funny.

Watching the tube

We get Sesame Street here on AFN and I usually turn it on for the last 20 minutes or so for Gus to watch. He really likes Elmo and his favorite part of the entire show is dancing to the song while the credits are running at the end. Anyway, I came into the living room yesterday morning and found Gus up in the chair just watching Sesame Street and hanging out. When the show was over he crawled down and went about his business. It was so funny--he really is growing up so fast.
