Getting ready for Easter

The big boys were so excited to dye Easter eggs this year. This was just one of many Easter "projects" we have been doing.

Gus was most impressed with his camouflage egg.

Officially a little boy

Cadel was long overdue for his first haircut. It is all mainly due to a subconscious thing with me--once he gets his haircut he doesn't look like a baby anymore and he is my last baby boy. This weekend we finally took him to one of those obnoxious kid's haircut places (the big boys go to the barbershop with Pat like normal humans).  I thought this would be best for Cadel since he is only 17 months old and it's his first haircut.  He did so well.  He wouldn't sit in the chair alone but he was just fine sitting on Pat's lap--no tears.

Right before we went inside.  In this picture it is hard to tell how long his hair really was but most of the time it was in his eyes.

Not sure about getting water sprayed on his head.

He looks like such a little boy now.

It feels a lot like spring!

We still have snow melting in the front yard but we are certainly ready for spring around here. It definitely means more outside playing, bike riding and camping!  We had a few great days this week and are ready for more so we can get into our outdoor fun.

The toy that keeps on keeping on

We bought Gus this plastic Hot Wheels race track for his third birthday.  I didn't think it would last more than 6 months to a year but it has survived 2 moves, over two years and countless races from three boys now.  Cadel has recently learned how fun it is to race cars.  He is now having a blast with the race track too (although turn-taking is a lesson he will need!).

Photographer Gus--he wanted to take some pictures too.

Story Time

Gus was reading everyone a story the other night. Can't miss a photo opportunity when all the boys are in the same place at the same time (and sitting relatively still).
