The most colorful (and messy) bubbles

We have had the Crayola Colored Bubbles for awhile (my mom actually sent them for Easter, but they were packed away during the move).  I discovered them recently and thought, why not?  They were colored and the boys had fun, but boy, did that stuff get everywhere!  The good thing is they wash out really well but it was interesting trying to get two little boys up two flights of stairs to the tub without touching anything.

We started out relatively well.

But Cormac likes to put the bubble wand right up next to his mouth to blow bubbles so he ended up looking like he ate a Smurf.  Gus also quickly figured out the color staining properties and added several patches of color to Cormac's head.

The finished product--two colorful boys who had fun with their blue and green bubbles.

Snacks and hanging out on the porch

After a morning of playing hard at the small playground by our house, the boys wanted to have their snacks on the front porch.  After snacks they spent a lot of time exploring the front yard.

We just can't get enough of Carter Mountain

The boys and I went back for some more fruit picking this week--this time just apples.  They love going there and picking their own fruit, but I think I love it the most.  It is such a fun thing for us to do outside.  So here are some pictures from the most recent trip.

Peach picking time!

We went out to Carter Mountain for some peach picking fun.  The peaches are perfect right now and the boys had a blast.  They picked 8 pounds of peaches, but they could have stayed all day.  We were also able to pick a few Gala apples as well.

The apple barn at Carter Mountain (where you go to get bags and pay when you are finished).  I have the best time going here to pick fruit.  Gus and Cormac have so much fun. 

In the apple orchard.  We will definitely be going back for more apples.

Swimming and a boat ride

We went to Granddad's for some more swimming and we also took the boys out on Granddad's boat for a ride around the lake.
